The Destination : Bhilwara

Bhilwara also known as the "Textile City", is located 25°.00' to 27°.50' North Latitude and 74°.03' to 75°.25' East longitude, It has an average elevation of 421 meters (1381 feet). Bhilwara is an industrial town and is famous country wide for the textile industries. It is well connected with roads & rail. As it is my home-town, I find this city a very calm and peaceful city. There are no particular tourist attractions in here but places nearby are very interesting and a hub of tourists round the globe. Still few places in Bhilwara are worth checking :

1. Menal water fall:

The place, situated at a distance of 71 Kms. towards South-East of Bhilwara. I would rate this as the first place to visit while planning to visit Bhilwara or even while brushing past it (Do remember to make such plan during rainy season)

2. Harni Mahadev:

A Shivling lies under the mountain, built into a Shiva temple is 8 km from the city. Its a nice place for people from the city for outing as it has hills around. On the occasion of Shiv-Ratri a three-day fair is held here. Near this Chamunda mata Mandir is a hill from where one can have a view of whole city. Dadi dham temple is also there on the way.

3. Meja Dam:

Not a tourist place or a very big dam, just for you and solitude, this place becomes a flooded picnic spot when the dam is roaring with water.

Other attractions situated on the beautiful hills of the Aravali mountain range which I haven't visited yet but are well known for their beauty and closeness to nature and God are :
  • Kyara ke Balaji (has a natural image of Lord Hanuman. It is said that the image spontaneously appeared on the rock.)
  • Patola Mahadev Temple,
  • Ghata Rani Temple,
  • Beeda ke Mataji Temple
  • Neelkanth Mahadev Temple
